Date of Passing: Dec 27, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA BERNICE WILKINSON (BRENNAN) It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Bernice, while on vacation with her daughter on December 27, 2015 at the age of 80. She was mom to Wayne, Lori, and Sheri Wilkinson, and Jo-ann Humniski; grandma to Amber and Rourke; sister to Nora (Gene) Latour, Shirley (Norman) Rochon, and Millie Hemmelgarn; also survived by sisters-in-law Rose, Frances and Mary Brennan. She was born in Stonewall, MB, and had a long career with the Ontario government. Bernice volunteered with Federated Health and New Beginnings for many years. She retired and returned to Manitoba where as a member of Holy Redeemer Parish she was very active in parish projects and she continued to give her time to many other worthwhile causes. Funeral mass will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on January 9, 2016. A family interment will take place at Assumption Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernice's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.

Bernice was an advocate for criminal justice and a strong supporter of Bridging the Gap Ministry Inc. Some of her last words to me were "I really believe in this", referring to re-integration action. - Posted by: Wayne Johnson (Deacon, Holy Redeemer Parish) on: Jan 09, 2016

She was certainly an active parishioner. She cared for the poor; involved fully in the parish activities. Her health concerns did not stop her from volunteering. - Posted by: Joseph S. Lourdusamy (Pastor) on: Jan 06, 2016
