ANNE MUROVEC (nee PENNER) June 9, 1922 - December 21, 2015 It is with great sadness and relief we announce the passing of Anne Murovec on December 21, 2015, at the age of 93, after a long struggle with dementia. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Brigitta (Albert) Voth, and their children, Jill (Andrei, Lauren), Daniel and Joel; son Walter (Melinda) Murovec, and their children, Alex (Jael), Ava, and Owen; brothers John and Hein Penner, and many nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her husband Ignac, twin sister Tina, sister Greta, and brothers Gerhard, and Peter. Besides raising two children Mom was a dedicated homemaker who loved baking, sewing, gardening, and preparing home cooked Mennonite dishes. Mom, together with Dad, spent many years relaxing and entertaining friends and family at their cottage. We want to thank the staff at Kildonan Personal Care for their loving care of Mom over the last six years. Donations in her honour may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee. Funeral service will be held at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church on January 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., interment to follow at the Mennonite Memorial Gardens. Birchwood Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
