Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL BRAUN March 26, 1963 - December 25, 2015 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mike at age 52. Mike is survived by his soulmate Deneen Allarie, who shared 21 years of love and laughter and making memories. The most beautiful gift that Mike ever received was his family, for he loved his children so much and was proud of them, he cherished every special moment he spent with them. Matthew, Justin, Jenna and Dylan you made your Dad's life complete. His wish for you, BE KIND, BE HAPPY, LOVE LOTS. Though his precious, loving heart stopped beating early Christmas morning, his children will forever miss their loving father and will cherish and keep his memory alive and well in their hearts and minds. Mike was predeceased by his father Jack (1999) and will be so sadly missed by his dear mother Betty and Mike's only brother, Jack (Marianne). Mike was a special son-in-law to Bert and Shirley Allarie! Always taking time to drop by for a visit. Mike bonded with each and everyone of us Allarie's in a special way. All of his nieces and nephews will miss his laughter and crazy sense of humour. Mike had many special friends and always took the time for a visit. Always willing to help, laugh and share his wisdom. Mike was very proud of his work crew at Braun Rentals, working alongside with them all, every day and for long hours. They always got the job done. Deneen and her children have been extremely overwhelmed with the love and support that they have received during this time and would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at Headingley Community Centre, 5353 Portage Ave., Headingley, at 2:00 p.m., January 9, 2016.

Oh my Micheal, I was shocked to hear of you passing on. I still tell the stories about all the funny stuff you did when we were kids. I remember you and Jack and your Dad working so hard on the farm, always smiling, always joking. Sounds like you had an amazing life Micheal. A true Aries, always there for others. So sorry you left so soon, however, you left a beautiful legacy, I wish forr your family comfort. Deedee. - Posted by: Deb Quiring (like a Cousin, days gone by.) on: Jun 15, 2016

My dear friend Mike: It's so hard to believe you have left us. As I'm sure you would have wanted the loaders and trucks are still moving and our mountains of snow disappearing. We have to keep moving forward you always said no matter what. Even if the progress is slow keep moving, don't stop. I admire how your family and crew are doing just that during this trying time. You must be so proud of them. Thank you for all you have done over the years. Your dedication and attention to detail has been and still is so much appreciated. Your friendship has meant so much to me over the last ten years. Our many conversations and lunches, the help at my barn, and, and.... I shall cherish all these memories from our first meeting until our last conversation on Christmas Eve for the rest of my days. So long my friend. Till we meet again. - Posted by: George Huston (Friend / Co-worker) on: Jan 03, 2016

It is with great sadness that I write this. Mike and I first met somewhere around the 5th grade while attending St Charles Academy. I remember him as a cantankerous kind of guy who always liked to have fun and find some kind of mischief - I guess that's why we became friends. As life often does, it took us each our separate ways until the last 10 years or so when I moved back in the area. Mike was always around to help out here and there; and could always be counted on to be "in the know" of the goings on in the area. His family was important to him, and he worked hard to make things right for everyone. I always looked forward to talking with him on the phone, especially when it came to RM business - always entertaining and made me laugh. He always made me smile. I'll miss him. - Posted by: Daniel Jacobucci (Friend) on: Jan 03, 2016

Sorry to hear of Mikes passing. Though I had not seen Mike in a number of years because not living in MB anymore but I know several of my family members certainly kept in touch with Mike over the years. If I look back now I think our families knew each other for most of our lives. My condolences to Deneen and the kids and I am so sorry for you loss. - Posted by: Danny George () on: Jan 02, 2016

Thanks for the help, and fun memories ove the years Mike. Our $5 fix on my muffler is still holding 2 years and 4 safeties later. I'm not sure who to call now when Allison has an emergency such as a flooded basement, or broken fan belt. You came thru more than a few times over the years. Thanks for being an awesome uncle to Harlow. She said this morning that if she could have 1 wish, it would be for Uncle Mike to come back. When we told her you were gone, after her tears had slowed she said to me "But who is going to ride in the golf cart with me?" She loved going to the shop and bugging you. I hope Deneen and the kids know that I will help anyway that I can. Rest easy my friend. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Sean Bednarek (Friend) on: Jan 02, 2016

He was always kind to me. I was very much an outcast in school yet Mike was always nice to me. Then met him again later in life, still a wonderful man with a beautiful family. Deneen is one of the nicest people I have ever met. They are the couple I strive for one day. - Posted by: Debra Leclair (Friend) on: Jan 02, 2016
