Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Our condolences to the family of Frances. Clare and I came to know her through being members of Friendship Force of Manitoba. As well as sharing meals and conversation with her at our regular Friendship Force meetings, we attended a hosted dinner at her home and found her a charming hostess and good company. • Aunty Francis will always hold a special place in my heart. We got to know each other when I was a young adult and came to Winnipeg on a work trip. During that visit we found we had much in common. I appreciated her wisdom, enjoyed our discussions about politics, her stories of family, her advice about education a nd parenting and her unwavering support and love for me. She was always generous and welcoming. Aunty Francis had a flare for decorating and great taste in clothes. On my last visit to her we both bought the same outfit at Melanie Lynn's. I am grateful for having her in my life and I will miss her. Thinking of you - Craig, Brenda, Allan and Donna and your families. - Posted by: Karen (Kadatz) Pease (Niece) on: Jan 08, 2016

  • Remembering Aunt Frances. I remember going to Tall Timber Lodge and having a great time - I remember her as being very care free - help yourself to anything. I remember Aunt Frances and family coming down for Christmas and she would never eat much at the table but I can remember her at the roasting pan "I'm just going to have some pickings", as she would pick at the turkey. I remember Aunt Frances helping me with some necessities when I was moving out of home. My sincere condolences to Craig, Allan, Brenda and Donna and families. R.I.P. • Frances was a beautiful sister and friend. She had a great time with us in Yuma ,Az few years back. She spent nearly 5 months here. Spent quality time with her this summer. Knew I would not see her again as she was failing. We are in AZ now until April. My deepest sympathy to Craig and family. Allan and family and the girls and their families at the coast. While France's was well, she was always there to give a helping hand. Sometimes you couldn't reason with her and she had to have her way. Don't we all. We loved her and will miss her dearly. Rest in peace France's you deserve it. - Posted by: Josie and Marty Koshman (sister and brother in law) on: Jan 05, 2016
