BRUCE EDWARD KLETKE 1969 - 2015 Ken and Alice Kletke are sad to announce the sudden death of their son, Bruce, on December 30, 2015. He is survived by siblings, Warren (Charlene), Cheryl (Rick), Stuart (Dawn) and Lois (Troy); nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kyle, Kristen, Ashley, Brent, Reid, Aryn, Derek, Trevor, Evan, Samantha and Connor. Bruce spent most of his life working as a Certified Gas Fitter and Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Mechanic. Many family and friends counted on him 24/7 to be their saviour for leaking water tanks or broken furnaces. Bruce loved the adrenaline rush of adventure sports; which included, downhill skiing, skydiving, bungee jumping, parasailing. He also enjoyed playing hockey, golf and spongee. He loved the outdoors, camping and was an accomplished fisherman obtaining his Master Angler for Lake Trout. Bruce was always making jokes and entertaining with impressions and quoting funny sayings. Many would say that he had an infectious smile. Bruce loved music. He knew the first verse of almost any song; and if he didn't, he would make up his own version that you swore was the original. He attended over 40 concerts in his lifetime and kept all of the ticket stubs to prove it. In the past few years Bruce dealt with emotional and physical problems and it was painful to know that he suffered under these conditions. We are grateful to know that he is now free of the illness that plagued him. A private service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Canadian Mental Health Association or your charity of choice.

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • Bruce worked for us as a temp at Coinamatic. He was a breath of fresh air. So professional and organized and Intelligent. I liked him very much. I just found out of his passing today. I believe my fellow co-workers did not inform me at the time because I had just returned from a 3 month medical leave due to mental health issues of my own. I think that they were trying to protect me. I am deeply, deeply saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. It is not right. I only knew him for a brief time but he was a bright light in this world. You could just feel that from him and if he was suffering in any way he never let it show. Speaking for all of us at Coinamatic Wpg Branch we wanted him to come back and work with us again we all thought that highly of him. Sadly he declined. It was a loss for us. I can assure you of one thing we will always remember him and we all feel this loss. It is amazing how one soul can have an impact on virtual strangers in their life. Bruce had this impact. It is just so sad that we have to talk about this in the past tense. I am a spiritual person so I truly do hope that he knows how much that he was loved while on earth and knows how much he will be missed. What happens when we leave this realm I do not know but I cant believe that we just cease to exist. Much love to Bruce and to your family and I am so very sorry.
