Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Today life carries on without my Mom Stella, here on earth as she is now in eternal peace. We must now move on with Living Life to the Fullest with No Regrets. I personally hold onto fond memories, many life lessons, that Mom brought to so many lives...and deeply treasure them. I have a lot of gratitude and deepest appreciation to so many of you who have expressed words of kindness and support...Also, to those who stood by the family and shared your words of wisdom during my Mom’s 9 year journey...through her life style change as the result of a stroke...and living in the personal care home. I have been personally blessed to have received such kindness & support. In Kindness & Peace - Posted by: Anna & Randy Gunn (Daughter & Son In-law) on: Jan 22, 2016

  • To know Stella is to be a blessed person. I was an immediate neighbor and have been privileged to know Stella and her family since 1997. Stella taught us all to be hard workers and to be joyful in doing it. While still up in her 80’s we were always invited at Christmas and Easter to 824 Bannerman Avenue for dinner and for fellowship. These were enjoyable and memorable times! When Stella moved to the care home, I saw another side of Stella. This was the outworking of Stella and her husband’s Ed’s hands and what they had poured into raising their children. This couple poured love into their children and the children knew it. Give and it shall be given back unto you. Sure enough, nine years of love from her children got poured back into Stella while in care homes. Daily she was fed by one of her children; when the opportunity arose was taken out for car rides to see her home on Bannerman ; was often taken to have her hair done so that she always looked her best even into her mid nineties and on many occasions was fitted with new clothing. What faithful love the children had for their mother on a continual basis Being around Stella and her family can only make better people. Thank you Stella: for reaching out to others and being yourself and blessing all of us. You have left a portion of yourself and your family in everyone you touched. We will miss but never forget what you imparted to us!!! - Posted by: Larry Ades (Neighbor and Friend) on: Jan 14, 2016
