Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER LEE MUNT September 16, 1948 - January 13, 2016 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Walter Munt. Wally was a Boilermaker and belonged to the Local 555. He was very proud of his trade and often spoke about the great people he worked with over the years. Wally loved fishing and was a passionate motor cycle enthusiast. He always liked a good joke and had a great sense of humour! In the mid 1990's Wally almost left us due to illness but somehow found a way to battle back. His courage, strength and perseverance was nothing short of astonishing. On January 13, 2016 Wally peacefully passed away at the Grace. He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. Please join us in a celebration to his life on Sunday, January 31, at Club 3D, 3317 Portage Avenue, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

I'm so very very sorry for your loss, sad to say I didn't really know Wally as we'd only met twice. He greatly resembles his Johnston Uncles (Lee, my father and Walter, his brother). The Johnston were very popular for their wit, sly good humour and generousness. I'm happy to see that Wally inherited these traits, which are more valuable than money. Our thoughts are with you and the family. - Posted by: RONA Ann JOHNSTON (Cousin (parents Lee & Susan Johnston)) on: Jan 31, 2016

You could not meet a nicer person or have a better friend. He was always available if you ever needed help. We went to Mulvey school together and remained close friends for 60 years. We had a lot of fun growing up. Wally was one of the good guys! My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Roy Rindahl (One of my best friends.) on: Jan 16, 2016
