LILLIAN CINNAMON (nee GAUTHIER) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Cinnamon on Friday, January 15, 2016, at the age of 62 years. Remaining to forever cherish Lillian's memory are her husband Jim; sons, Blair and Jason; grandson Zachary; Anna, Mirek and Olivia Petras; brothers, Michel (Susan) and Guy (Chippy); sister Colette (Gary Schinkel); as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Elie and Pauline. Lil enjoyed spending her days with family and always had her arms open to someone in need. She adored all animals and especially loved her dogs. Lil was a loyal football fan and loved her Bombers. She also enjoyed playing Canasta, and more than anything, spending time with her grandson, Zachary. On Friday, January 22, 2016, Lillian's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Eric Giddins, presiding. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. Special thanks to staff at Health Sciences Centre and Grace Hospital, especially Chris and Murray. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I wish to pass my condolences to Lil's family on her passing. We did meet a few times in person, but spent most of our time together playing canasta online. I would like to share a quote with Lil's family and hope it helps them deal with her passing. "Lil has not died, but merely gone away, to a better place, free of pain and suffering. We willl see her again some day"....Rest in Peace Lil. You will be missed. - Posted by: Patricia Homenick (Online Canasta friend) on: Jan 21, 2016

  • Dear Colette & Gary: Our deepest sympathies to you and all of your family. No words can make things better. We didn't even know Lil had cancer, and we are very sorry to hear that. We know she will be in your hearts forever. God Bless and just know we are thinking of you all at this time.
