Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I didn't know Paul had passed until the other day otherwise I would have been there to convey my sincerest thoughts to his family. I was part of Paul's little group back in junior and senior high. Paul lived on Victoria crescent and Richard Cushnie (also passed) was living with Paul and his family. I lived on Barrington Ave. I can't remember how we met but we would regularly "hang" out. Then Paul and Richard found their way around cars and things changed to the next chapter of fun. At the time $1 of gas was sufficient for a night. Of course, to earn the $1 was more difficult but, as teenagers we found a way. We hung out until after we all got married then, either through work transfers or other interests, we drifted apart. More's the pity because I cherished those days. Just the cruising, the neighbourhood walks, the working on cars or just sitting around discovering, through endless comments, perpetual teen-age bragging, we learned about girls, life and, eventually, how to act almost adult. (Almost). Enough knowledge to carry us through to the next chapters. I miss you guys and who knows, we may meet again. I believe it'll be upstairs. We did some things that now seem weird or awkward, but all in good fun. Rest Peacefully Paul and I'll bring a pair of cowboy boots with me when I get there. - Posted by: Steve Kupresak (Friend) on: Nov 28, 2019

  • One memory was when I was 6 Paul was 11 and he was throwing me into A huge leaf pile. I remember somehow being able to throw him as well. This moment has stuck with me for life and I'm sorry as an adult was not able to connect with Paul. We grew up in an era where kids and their dogs roamed the neighbourhood freely Paul was always a kind and respectful boy to all on Victoria Crescent where we lived.... Wonderful days My sincere condolences Dean Alfonso - Posted by: Dean Alfonso (Neighbour on Victoria Crescent) on: Feb 05, 2016

  • Sad news of a childhood friend's passing. My most vivid memories of Paul involve the many acorn-gun battles we waged from the tree fort in his back yard on Victoria Crescent. Deepest sympathies to the family. - Posted by: Dunc Malcolm (Childhood friend and neighbour) on: Feb 03, 2016
