Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE KAY (CONNIE) LASCHUK (nee REBECK) Sadly, on February 2, 2016, our dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend left our world as we know to visit life of eternity. Connie was survived by her son Blaine (Jas and Haley); daughter Cindy (Ed, Carly and Jeremy and Shelby); her sisters, Verna Brown and Bernice Chabluk, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Bob Bailey, Bill and Sophie Rebeck. Born on October 22, 1936, in Sprinfield, Manitoba. Connie was always the backbone of her family. She enjoyed spending her winters in Texas for many years until her health declined. Connie spent the last four years in Deer Lodge Centre, where she continued to value her life with excitement and joy even though her physical health kept declining. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre for their ongoing care and compassion throughout her stay. Connie's courageous battle with Emphysema and COPD exemplifies the strength that she had, and we all know that she has gone to a better place. Flowers gratefully declined, if you so wish, please make a donation to the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Connie's life will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street.
