CAROLYNNE ELIZABETH VERBIN Born: May 22, 1943 - Died: February 2, 2016 Carol passed away at St. Boniface Hospital following a battle with very aggressive lung cancer. Carol was a meticulous planner and before her illness wrote her own very short obituary to reflect what she wanted people to know about her life. She showed it to no one. However, it is in no way reflective of her accomplishments, nor the love and respect she earned from the many people whose lives she touched during her lifetime. I've Lived - Oh how I've Lived I've Loved - Oh how I've Loved Peter - my earthly reason for being We did it all!!! Carol is survived by Peter, her husband of 50 years. She is also survived by her brother Dennis (Barbara), her nieces Kathryn and Jill, sisters-in-law Diana McLeod and Judith Chambers, and many cousins. Carol was predeceased by her father and mother John and Julia Baczynsky. Cremation has occurred and a private family service was held. There will be a Celebration of Carol's life to be held at a later date. A notice will appear in the Winnipeg Free Press. No flowers. Donations may be made in her name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room 1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. • Dear Peter, Please accept my sincere condolences on your tremendous loss. I have only warm thoughts of Carol because anytime we connected starting with our years in nursing, we always had a good laugh about whatever topic was being discussed. Although she is gone in body you will be surprised how often her spirit will touch you when remembering all the good times you had together. - Posted by: Lynda J. • Peter, we are saddened for you loss and the loss of such a loving lady. I know I can speak for all of us from Bayside in Gimli that you both touched our lives in so many ways, and made some amazing memories. We looked forward to your visits and Carol's helping hands, and of course selling your amazing cookbook. So true how much you both loved and respected each other. It was many years since we were in touch, then surprise there you both were one day in the airport...the welcoming team! Love and sympathy to you and your families. Mama Flo especially sends her love and hugs too. - Posted by: All the Bayside Girls (Co-workers) on: Apr 22, 2016
