JANNA LYNN MCMULLEN On February 6, 2016, Janna McMullen passed away at the age of 59 years. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Edward, children Marty (Cara), Chris (Mel), Constance (Mark), Amanda (Dave), and Eddy; and grandchildren Peter, Bella, Tom, Taylor, Dustin, Blake, Charlotte, and Finley. Janna is also survived by her mother Katherine; brother Ron (Brenda); nieces Amy (Travis) and Janci (Jared and son Corbin); nephew Graham (Bree); uncle Richard; Darryl (Jacquiline) and many other relatives and friends. Janna's first home was in Colonsay, Saskatchewan. She moved away from Colonsay when she was 18 years old to build a new life and family in Winnipeg, with a brief time spent in Regina and Saskatoon. Although she was away from home, she always kept her connections with family and friends, and had lots of fond memories growing up in the town. Janna was the glue of the family, keeping everyone together. She loved her grandchildren and being a grandma, bringing large loads of knitting, sewing and quilting for her grandkids, and enjoyed sleepovers with Blake and her grandchildren. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren's accomplishments. Spending time with grandkids was her medicine. Janna loved to stay active, and when she was younger enjoyed sports like curling and swimming. She loved travelling to Saskatchewan and Arizona, and enjoyed the country life more than the big city. Country music, dancing and sewing were some of the things she enjoyed, along with "girls day" with Taylor. Janna was not shy and liked to party. She liked getting into trouble with Diane, a kind of Manitoba version of "Thelma and Louise". Janna always kept herself and others going by motivating and encouraging them, and had a big place in her heart for the country of Romania. • Janna and I became close friends when we were working together in Retail and subsequently the Call Center at CPC. I witnessed her kindness and generous spirit first hand when I became ill. One day she arrived out of the blue with a turkey dinner and all the trimmings, still hot from her kitchen. That was her nature. My heartfelt condolences to Janna's family. I know you will miss here terribly. Rest in peace, dear Janna. - Posted by: Marrie (Armstrong) Cooke (Friend and Co-worker) on: Feb 11, 2016

  • I was shocked to hear about the sudden passing of Janna, and deeply sadden at such a loss to her family, kids and grand children. Words will never be spoken again between us, but that smirk you gave every time I swore, will alway be in my mind. We got to work together for a short time in the 80's and with the tea and story times, we got to know a little more about each other over the years. Janna your smirk and laughter will never be forgotten, RIP my friend. - Posted by: Kathy Evinger (Co-worker at Canada Post) on: Feb 10, 2016

  • I met Janna from another friend and we quickly became friends. Coming from Arizona US to Winnipeg for a event, I asked if I could stay with her and she didn't hesitate to say yes! Little did Ed and Janna know what was in store for them ;) We liked each other before that trip but afterwards we were life long friends. I will miss you sister, what I wouldn't give for one of those early morning face time calls! - Posted by: Tammy Tamayo (Friend) on: Feb 09, 2016

  • It was with great sadness that I learned of Janna's passing. I have very fond memories of our time working closely together at Canada Post. During those years her support and friendship meant a great deal to me. Without her we would have never accomplished the great changes and improvements in our Retail team. But that was work..... The Janna I came to know was incredibly kind, thoughtful and caring. A great mom and a true friend. If you were lucky enough to know her you are better for it. Janna, you shall be missed by all. - Posted by: Tyler Alton (Friend) on: Feb 09, 2016

  • My sincere condolences to Janna's family. Janna took me under her wing when I first started at Canada Post in 1989 and treated me with such respect and kindness throughout my career. Although I lost touch with Janna over the last few years, I am very happy to have called Janna my friend and will remember her warm heart and smiling face forever. Rest in peace Janna - thank you for the great memories! - Posted by: Sandra Burling (Friend & co-worker ) on: Feb 09, 2016

  • For Janna's family. I knew Janna through work at Canada Post and as time goes on we had sadly lost touch through the years. But I remember that Janna was a wonderful soul and a very positive person with a big heart. She was well liked and appreciated by all who knew her and worked with her. I cannot imagine the grief you are carrying now and can only offer my deepest condolences and hope that as time goes on the grief will become less, replaced by beautiful memories that last into eternity. May angels carry you to your rest Janna and ever blissful peace. God Bless you and your family. - Posted by: Terri Buschau (Friend and Co-Worker) on: Feb 09, 2016

  • To Janna's family: Please accept my sincerest condolences at this tragic and emotional time. I still am trying to process the news of Janna's sudden departure from this earth and can only imagine how difficult a time her family are having coping with this monumental loss. Although she and I were not 'close' friends there was never a time where we didn't have the pleasure of exchanging news about our kids, home life, etc. She will be dearly missed and definitely taken far too soon. Rest in peace dear Janna and know that you will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Pat Murdock (friend and co-worker at CPC) on: Feb 09, 2016
