CLAIRE ALICE MURRAY October 1, 1940 - February 6, 2016 Sadly on February 6, 2016, Claire, 75 years of age passed away at home. Claire was born in Winnipeg on October 1, 1940, the daughter of Alice and Bill Hartley. Claire met Larry and then married him in February 1959. They raised their four children in St. James, and enjoyed many friend and family gatherings. Larry and Claire owned and operated an A&W for many years. One of their passions was boating along the Red River and on Lake Winnipeg, having belonged to the Redboine and Manitoba Yacht Club. After the death of her husband she enjoyed many years with her companion Ken Knight. Claire was a selfless and devoted mother. Claire is survived by her children Vince (Jacquie), Alan, Adele (Ron), and Heidi (Jim). Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren Alicia, Chase, Michelle, Clinton, Cole, Gunnar, Jessee, Kelsy, Chaylene, and Katie. Also survived by her sister Carol as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Larry, mother, father and stepfather Alec.
