MARGARET ISABEL SAMBORSKI Peacefully, with family at her side, Margaret Isabel Samborski (née Chestnut) passed away on February 5, 2016 at the age of 91. Marg was born on July 18, 1924 in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. She is survived by her sister Helen, daughters Lynn (Kevin) and Pat (Kevin), grandchildren Melanie (Steven), Steven (Lindsay), Megan and Jody, and great-grandson Samuel, as well as numerous other family members, including Peggy Bekolay and Mackenzie Campbell, and long-time friends Marie Marion, Barbara Nielsen and Carol Rohringer. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Lena, brothers Harold, Jack, Scott and Guy, and husband Sam. Marg was very devoted to her family and was proud of her grandchildren's accomplishments. She will be remembered by her family for her baking and her many creative talents, which included woodworking, embroidery and home renovations. We will miss her many stories of growing up in a small town in Saskatchewan and life during war time. The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital (TCU) for their care and compassion and the staff at the Portsmouth Retirement Residence for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. At Marg's request, a private family gathering will be held in Moosomin at a later date.
