Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND FRANCIS DANIELS Raymond Francis Daniels, 93 years, of Vancouver, British Columbia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at his residence. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Horatio and Josephine Daniels he lived most of his life in Winnipeg and more recently Vancouver. Ray was predeceased by his wife of 52 years Kaye (Peleck) Daniels, his parents, his sisters Anne (Lewis) and Ruth, and his brothers Wilfred and Billy. Ray is survived by his wife Muriel (Hawley) of 12 years, daughter Linda Daniels, sons David and Alan Daniels, his sister Marie Bock of Fort Francis, Ontario, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Ray was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. He was always there to help friends with whatever they needed. Ray joined the RCAF during the Second World War where he served as a navigator until he was seriously injured requiring two years of hospitalization and rehabilitation. He later joined the Winnipeg Fire Department where he retired as a Deputy Chief. A special thank you to the Hawley family and Ray's personal care givers for their loving care and support, as well as the BC Palliative Care Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. A private interment will take place on a future date. Flowers are gratefully declined; contributions to Winnipeg Harvest or a charity of your choice made in his name would be appreciated.
