Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE JOSEPHINE BURGESS (nee PELLETIER) Passed away peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in her 90th year surrounded by her family and dear friend, Carole Beaupre. Beloved wife of the late Peter Burgess. Loving mother of Franklin (Andrea) of Edmonton, Matthew of Thailand, Geraldine of Knowlton, Quebec and Lee (Maureen) of Belleville. Cherished grandmother of Peter, Adam, Cayley and Leah Burgess and Nicholas and Jacqueline McGovern and great-grandchildren, Noelle Burgess and Hunter Highfield. Dear sister of Ben Pelletier (Evelyne) and the late Dolly Haglund (Gordon). Lorraine was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba. Lorraine and Peter and the children moved with his career in the CBC to Winnipeg, Toronto, Edmonton and Montreal. In 2004, Peter and Lorraine moved to Belleville to be closer to their youngest granddaughter. Special thank you to Dr. Blanchard, Dr. Lynch and the exceptionally caring staff on Quinte 5 and I.C.U. The family will receive friends at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME, 150 Church St., Belleville on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Burke Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Children's Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
