KATHLEEN NOWICKI
Born: Sep 21, 1917
Date of Passing: Feb 14, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KAY) NOWICKI Kay passed peacefully, in her sleep, on February 14, 2016, having celebrated her 98th birthday in September. She was much loved and will be sadly missed by her children, Laurie and Joan Nowicki, Louise and Clint Acheson, Frank and Donna Nowicki and Jim Nowicki and Kathy Knight; grandchildren, Jayne (Jason), Linli (Paul), Lani (Phil), Graeme (Lindsey), Daniel (Melissa) and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Terri, Donovan, Ethan, Jensen, Kaylee, Tyler and Zachary. As well, Kay will be missed by her honourary family, Mary and Eric Isaacson, Bob Lewis and numerous nephews and nieces. Kay was born on September 21, 1917 in the family home on Burrows Avenue. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank (2008); her brother John; and her sister Helen; as well as all of her brothers and sisters-in-law. As a young woman, bicycling, hiking and speed skating with her sister and the Eaton's girls were some of her favourite pastimes. Kay and Frank enjoyed sixty five years of marriage, during which their home was a hub of hospitality. Kay transformed the harvest of the garden and the wild into culinary delights lovingly shared with family and friends. We thank all of the staff at Kildonan Personal Care home who have cared for our mom for the past five years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. To celebrate Kay's life, funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 22 at 10:45 at St. Alphonsus Church, 341 Munroe Avenue.

I always enjoyed talking to Mrs.Nowicki even if she did not remember me during the time that I visited my mom at Kildonan Personal Care Home. She was always going up and down the hall in her wheel chair and that smile on her face showed that she was very happy. To All The Family Roy and I are so sorry for you loss. - Posted by: Roy and Linda Watkins (friend) on: Feb 20, 2016
