BILL (WILLIAM) BAHRYCHUK With family by his side, at Vista Park, on Thursday, February 4, 2016, Bill (William) Bahrychuk passed away at age 73. Beloved husband of Nancy; loving father of Jonathon (Alanna) and Andrew (Tannis); treasured Gido of Abigail, Hannah, Ivan and Brennan. Predeceased by his parents Dmytro and Wasylena. Bill was born in Stuartburn, MB. He and Nancy raised their family alongside wonderful neighbours in Niverville area before moving to Winnipeg. Bill made friends wherever he went and always had a hug and kind word for everyone. He gave special, often "Ukrainian-ized" nicknames to his favourite people. Bill was an avid New York Yankees and Winnipeg Jets fan. He was a lifelong admirer of Johnny Cash and loved to play guitar and lead family and friends in sing-alongs. Bill's preferred place to spend time was alongside Nancy and family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on April 10, 2016, at Norberry-Glenlee Community Centre, 26 Molgat Avenue, Winnipeg. A funeral in the country will happen at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation of "hroshi" to someone in need, and pass along a hug to someone you care about; these are simple but special ways to honour Bill's memory. Got to know Bill through a mutual person. He was a gentleman and considered friend always with a smile,hug or handshake. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing.
