Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN JAKE DERKSEN July 2, 1950 - December 16, 2015 On Wednesday, December 16, 2015, Norm passed away peacefully into his eternal home at the age of 65 years. Norm leaves his wife Lori; his daughter Nikki; son Kristopher and grandchildren, Matthew and Audrey, who were the love of his life. He also leaves to mourn his brother Pete (Louise); sisters, Nettie, Anne and Margaret; mother and father-in-law, Laverne and Carl; sister-in-law Holly (Ray); as well as numerous nieces; nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his mom and dad whom he treasured and missed dearly. To honour Norm's wishes, a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Deer Lodge Centre for making Norm's last couple of years as comfortable as possible. A big thank you also goes out to all the staff at Grace Hospital who looked after Norm during his lengthy stay there. We shared a wonderful vacation in Jamaica with Norm, Lori and other friends a number of years ago. Although we hadn't known each other well previously, we came to appreciate Norm's humour and friendliness. We were each given a free pedicure at the resort.
