MARCELLA GUTOSKI-MONAGHAN Marcella Gutoski-Monaghan passed away in the early evening on February 20, 2016. Her energy, her love, her laughter and those incredible memories are what keeps us from feeling a sadness we felt throughout her fight with cancer. Our mom had a large extended family and grew up in Neepawa, MB on the farm. Our mom would have only wanted us to share few details about her life. She would have never wanted anyone to feel sad over her passing. Instead please celebrate her life. She would have loved to receive this letter. Dear Mom, you were one tough cookie. I'm sure that came from growing up with six brothers. You were always a hard worker who could fix houses and cars. You always had the cleanest house whether or not company was coming over. You were amazing at sewing and could always hem or fix any piece of clothing for anyone of us. Always a coffee nearby that you reheated 20 times before finishing. Always someone that had advice before you even asked for it. Your love for garage sales was simply humorous. We loved seeing you run down the street to see what free thing' was at the end of the neighbours yard. "Oh gawd, there she goes again. That's our mom." Your backyard was your most favourite place to be. Always under the hot sun with your books and coffee. Thank you for being an awesome mom to Jason, Allisha, Sheryl, Eddy and Rickie. Your specialty was being a grandmother. Natasha, Sarah and William will hold a special place in their hearts for their Iya' that they loved so much. They were your most favourite people in the world. Your friendship with Debby was special. Geez Mom, we sure will miss all those things about you...wishing you were here with all your opinions and thoughts. We will miss you Mom. We wouldn't trade you for the world. We love you. Love The Kids "And I will be with you wherever you go." Mom didn't want a service. Instead, we are going to have a BBQ sometime in the summer. She would have wanted everyone to drink wine, laugh and have a really good time. We will keep family and friends updated. Thanks to Wheeler Funeral Home for helping with the arrangements. You guys rock. Funeral Arrangements in Care of: Wheeler Funeral Home Cemetery & Crematorium 1800 Day Street - 204-224-1525 Please sign the book of memories at www.wheelerfuneral.com

  • I had the pleasure of doing Marcella's hair. She was a funny, honest woman. She always had a good story and a bit of advice for other peoples stories. My heart goes out to Sheryl and her family. I hope you are able to keep all the good memories close to your hearts and know you are in my thoughts. Xo - Posted by: Carrie Whitford (Hairdresser ) on: Feb 28, 2016
