DENISE NOBISS It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Denise Nobiss. Left to cherish her memories are daughter Noreen (Jim); grandson Brandon; son Sean; and grandson Ashton. Denise was lucky enough to be reunited with her son in 2011, who she unselfishly gave up for adoption in 1963 to give him a better life. We want to thank Kim and his son Taylor for making the trip from Vancouver to see mom at the nursing home to thank her for giving him life. This brought peace to mom. Predeceased by her parents Verne and Marie-Louise Houle; her husband Tim Nobiss, John Antonyshyn; also special friend Joe Burak, who came to see mom every week at the nursing home until he could no longer do so. Mom had many challenges in her life, that at times made her very vulnerable. We are grateful for the kindness and help from all the staff past and present who cared for mom with compassion and friendship. Moms home was at Riverview Health Centre for the past nine years. A celebration of Denise's life will be held Wednesday, March 2, at 11:00 a.m., with viewing one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview CD4 Recreation program, or to the McEwen Centre inpatient recreation.
