EMIL LEONHARDT August 19, 1926 - February 26, 2016 Emil passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital in the early morning hours of February 26. Left to cherish his memory is Lynn, his loving wife of 67 years; children, Gord (Jo-Anne), Dave (Lesley) and Donna (Charles); grandchildren, Tyler, Curtis, Chelsea, Joel and Devon; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lejla and Chase. Emil was the youngest of seven children and was born in the North End of Winnipeg. He worked at Stovel Press as a lithographer and sales representative, where he met his wife Lynn. He moved to Bakers Graphics and retired from Wallingford Press. Emil was a fun-loving, "people person". He enjoyed ALL sports, and his favourite times were with family and friends at Falcon Lake. "Emil, we'll miss your stories (be they true or false). YOU'RE THE BEST!" "Thanks for the service", to the caring staff of 5B at St. Boniface Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 3459 Pembina Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 1L8.
