FIRMIN JOSEPH DESROCHERS It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Firmin Joseph Desrochers (Mac), on February 26, 2016. Born in Mariapolis, Manitoba in 1929, predeceased by his wife Lena Desrochers, Firmin will be missed by his children, Linda (Kevin), Christopher (Karen), Dale (Carolyn) and Mariann, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sisters, Ida Ferens and Terry Hacult, along with nieces, nephews and many friends. Firmin was a veteran of the Korean War and a retiree of Greater Winnipeg Gas/ICG, who enjoyed fishing, bowling, sights and sounds of nature, loved the challenge of a crib game and always enjoyed laughter. "Firmin, you will be missed by all who knew you, farewell for now, enjoy your new journey." A celebration of Firmin's life will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc St. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
