JOYCE DOREEN MARY HIATT (nee OUELLETTE) It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Doreen Mary Hiatt on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Joyce will be very much missed by her sons, David, Marc, Curtis, Keith, Laird, Sandy and Robert; daughters Arlee (Butt), and Georgia (Zurba); 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George in 2015; daughter Gail (Cameron); parents Laird and Marie Ouellette and brother Robin. On April 8, 1932 Joyce was born and raised in The Pas, Manitoba. There she met her loving husband George who she later married on May 20, 1950. They shared 65 wonderful years of life together. They were blessed with ten beautiful children. Through their married life, they lived in The Pas, Vancouver, Dauphin, Sifton and Winnipeg. Joyce loved being surrounded by her family. She also loved singing in the choir and had a beautiful voice. In Sifton while living on the farm, Joyce enjoyed going to horse riding competitions with son Sandy. With her busy family, she still found time to work at a variety of jobs. From sales to working at the Dauphin Jail as a correction officer. Joyce was a very warm and caring person. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:30 in St. John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue at Rouge Road, Winnipeg with Rev. Fr. Robert Polz presiding.
