PETER KOTOWSKY 1928 - 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Kotowsky. Born on February 3, 1928 in Krostova, Poland, Peter passed away on February 27, 2016. Predeceased by his parents Anna and Anthony; three brothers and a sister; he is survived by his loving wife Helen (Koroluk); son Dale and wife Maureen; daughter Cheryl and husband Tim Shynkaruk; grandsons, Andrew and partner Kristy Lavallee and Taylor and partner Taiza Konrad, and great-grandson Ashton. Peter immigrated to Canada as an infant with his parents and an older brother and sister. They arrived in the Minitonas region of Manitoba in July, 1928. With the help of the local Baptist Church they settled into Canadian culture. In his teenage years he left the family farm to work in the mines in Northern Manitoba. Here he learned the carpentry trade and worked in the construction industry until his retirement at 78 years of age. Always wanting to be busy, he loved to craft fine wood furniture which is cherished and adorns the households of his family and many friends.
