PATRICK ROGOCKI
Born: Oct 25, 1958
Date of Passing: Mar 02, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICK ROGOCKI October 25, 1958 - March 2, 2016 Patrick, known as "Petey" to family and friends, was born in Beausejour and moved to Winnipeg with his family. He worked at the City of Winnipeg as a machine operator from 1977-2010. Pat met his wife, Peggy, in 2001. He took her three girls into his heart and loved them like his own. He was an amazing Papa to his four loving grandkids. In February 2010, Pat was diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer. During the years he lived through appointments and treatments, he never complained. As a result, he had many happy years. In November 2015, he and Peggy were married. With his quiet, gentle nature, Pat met his end in the same way he lived his life. Peacefully, in the arms of his wife, Pat took his last breath. We should all take a page from Pat's book and live as he has these past years, fighting to stay but accepting of life. As he always said, "It is what it is. Can't change it. Pat was predeceased by his father, Stanley Rogocki. Memories of him live on with his mother, Mary, his wife, Peggy, his three stepdaughters Gina (Andrew), Jennifer (Brent) and Kristen, grandchildren Jasmine, Langdon, Hunter and Declan, sister Dinah (Norm), brothers Dan (Wendy) and Ken (Helen), chosen sister Renee (Ron), Goddaughter Candace and extended family and friends. Pat was grateful to his family and friends who have been a huge support through his illness and his entire life. His family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare, Pinawa Hospital, Lac du Bonnet EMS crew, and Wheeler Funeral Home for their kindness and support. Special thanks to Dr. Bruneau (idk) for his ongoing care and empathy. As per Pat's wishes, he will take one last fishing trip with his buddies to Kaiarskons Lake this Spring. In lieu of flowers or donations, Pat hopes you will become aware of Neuroendocrine (Carcinoid) Cancer, as it is often misdiagnosed until it is too late.

I was shocked by the passing of my old friend Pat, I only wish we were in more contact over the years. Pat was a very kind hearted person and very easy going. We were very close in our younger years and I will miss him very much. I consider myself very lucky to have him as a friend and to have known him. My condolences to the family - Posted by: Howard Kowall (Friend) on: Mar 05, 2016
