HELEN HUGHES (DONNACHIE) MCKENNA December 23, 1921 March 7, 2015 Our beautiful mother, Helen, passed away a year ago but loving memories of her sustain us. We think of her so often - always with a smile and sometimes with tears, but also with deep gratitude for the privilege of her having been at the core of our lives. We also remember thankfully the wonderful support from old friends and neighbours, family and relatives, and caring professional services from her respected, long-time family physician, Dr. Stewart Silagy and staff; wonderful caregivers - Kelly, Sherry, Huao, Susan, Loretta and Luda; Nancy, staff and close friends, Jean and Emily at Sturgeon Creek II; medical and support staff in 3 South, Grace Hospital; and Speers Funeral Services in Regina. Mom drew such comfort from this cherished psalm, and now it comforts us as we remember her: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. With loving memories always from Sandy and Dave, Kelly and Doug, Terry and Susan and their respective families.
