I had the privilege of meeting Rose when I was in my teenage years. She was one tough cookie who always worked very hard. She shared the love of her children and grandchildren with me. She worked for my parents for many years until we sold our house in St.P. She went above and beyond what would have been considered, her duties and even got Bernard involved, likely not voluntarily! She even had a special relationship with our dog, Mandy. She looked after her when my parents traveled. She spoied her rotten and I believe may have gotten more attention than Adhemar! Thank you to the family for sharing her with us. She was a wonderful friend and she deserves her eternal rest. I know she will leave a big hole in everyone's hearts. But she will never be forgotten. À Dieu Rose. - Posted by: Jackie Cantin () on: Mar 11, 2016

Earlier in the 80's and 90's,there were many good family times spent traveling to St. Pierre with our boys Justin, Miguel, and later, Gabriel, to visit "Rose" and "Adhemar". Barbeques, lawn bowling, and camp fires in the summer. Our boys loved visiting mamere at the lake also! Tobogganing, trips to LaSalle, Christmas surprises, including great food, and visitors including Santa, always kept our boys happy and intrigued with the trip to Mamere and Papere's. Miguel had a special place in Mamere's heart...as did all of her grandchildren. She truly LOVED them ALL. I always remember her cuddling our kids at bedtime, making special meals for them, and loving to teach them all about her passion for cooking. She also taught our boys lots of card games which they loved. For me, despite the fact that I had not been in her life for a while, what she taught me was my serious limitation in drinking hard alcohol...all which she taught me by the tender age of 21. I have Rose to thank for that well earned lesson and have not imbibed vodka ever since...lol...She will be missed and will never be forgotten by living in her families hearts forever. - Posted by: Colleen Hanson (Jacques (ex wife)) on: Mar 10, 2016
