Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) MURRAY BLAIR March 26, 1931 - March 8, 2016 With great sadness we announce the passing of Betty Blair on March 8, 2016, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Betty was predeceased by Cecil in 2013, her husband of 60 years. She is survived by her son Alister (April), daughter Linda Porco (Austin), grandchildren Lauren and Jonathan Blair, Christopher and Kevin Porco and great-grandchildren Madisen Blair, Charlee Blair, Jaxin Blair and twins Kayden and Kaylee Blair. Betty was born in Ayr, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Betty volunteered with Scouts, numerous Church committees both at Grey Street United Church and thereafter Windsor Park United Church. Betty loved cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, sewing, knitting and embroidery. Her special Scottish Shortbread was enjoyed by many. Betty enjoyed hosting events and spending time with neighbours, friends and her grandchildren. A special thank you to the staff at Kenwood House - Rosewood Supportive Housing and to Golden Links Lodge for their loving care of Betty for the past 5 years. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
