JOHN DAVID LAZARK Dave passed away at Riverview Health Centre on March 1, 2016, surrounded by the love of his family. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Olive Lazark; his wife Shirley Wedge; his brother Gord; and an infant sister Joan. He is survived by his stepsons, Jeff, Jamie (Lisa), grandchildren Alexandra, Avery, Preston and Kenley; brother Don (Terry); sisters, Pat (Norm), Linda (George), Judy (Yale), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Dave was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 1, 1949. He was employed as a Journeyman Electrician at CP Rail Weston Shops for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, but his favourite pastime was working in his "Super Garage". Dave's favourite project was customizing and retrofitting his 1952 Willys Jeep. He was an excellent mechanic and worked on his own vehicles and those of his family and friends. Dave was an avid race car fan and attended the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500 and numerous NHRA events. The family is grateful to the medical and nursing staff of CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Centre. No formal service will be held. There will be a gathering of family members in the summer.

  • I worked with Dave for many years as an electrician, went fishing and snowmobiling together. He was a perfectionist as an electrician, renovator and mechanic. Great fisherman.
