MARGARET DERESHOWSKI Even gentle hugs, soft kisses and kind words couldn't stop our beloved Auntie Marge from leaving this earth on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the age of 92. It was her time to see her mom, dad, sister and brother whom she missed and thought of daily. What can we say about our Auntie Marge? Was she a famous dancer, a poet, a musician, no, but she was one of the most important people in our lives. She taught us fairness, consideration and through her hardships taught us perseverance. She said if you lived by the Ten Commandments and followed them you would live a good life. These were her true values. She knew everyone's birthdate and there were a lot of dates to remember. She lived through the depression years and one could listen to her stories without getting tired. Our Aunt worked at Eaton's in the mail order department and was proud of her time spent working there. She loved her Eaton's and had a gift of telling stories about her time there. She was a true north-ender. She would say after a day's outing, I'm glad to be going back to the good old north-end. Auntie Marge was born in the house she lived in for 89 years and had hoped to pass on in it. But it was not to be. She lived at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre for her remaining years. The day before she passed she thanked the staff for being a part of her life. She thanked you for coming to visit her every time. We have many good memories of our Aunt and Great Auntie Marge. You were part of our lives and will never be forgotten. This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine Let it shine, Let it shine, all the time! We know your light will shine forever Auntie Marge! With love from all of your family. As to her wishes there will be no formal service, a private interment will follow at family plot in Brookside Cemetery.
