FITZGERALD 1963 - 2016 In the early morning hours of his birthday, on March 6, 2016, our husband, father, uncle and friend passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. Mark was predeceased by his parents: Minnie and James Fitzgerald, and one brother Maurice. Mark is survived by his loving wife Tamara, and daughter Amber to whom he was the best dad ever; his brothers and sisters: Gwen (Earl) Saari, Kenny (Lydia) Fitzgerald, Edna (John) Ducharme, Sharon (Len) Boudreau, Faith (Grant) Sadova, Brenda (Kelly) Sutherland, Sandra Fitzgerald, Brian Fitzgerald, and Bev Fitzgerald. Although a quiet man, Mark was one to shoot straight from the hip, a no nonsense kind of guy, but Mark was also a very caring man and yes he would help whom he could. Mark also had a great sense of humour that would make the most serious person laugh. Mark, there is no other way to say that we, as in everyone, is going to miss you. We all love you. The family and friends would like to thank the paramedics and the staff at Health Sciences Centre and the St. Boniface Hospital for their hard work and compassion. A memorial service in Mark's memory will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. I learned of Mark's passing today. Such tragic news. I counted him as a good friend though we hadn't been in touch in the last few years.
