BERNICE WOODROW (MUNTAIN) (nee RIEGER) (GRANDMA) With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of our wonderful wife, mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma and friend, Bernice Woodrow, on March 15, 2016, at the age of 73. She was the love in our hearts, and the rock of the Woodrow/Muntain family. She is survived and remembered lovingly by her husband of 39 years, Robert Woodrow; children, Doug (Britt), Sandra (Owen), Todd (Sharon), Brad (Val), Richard (Lory), Cheryl (Rui), Heather (Jeff); as well as her grandchildren, Sean, Tyler, Vince, Cody, Natasha, Kelsie, Rachelle, Haleigh, Devin, Melissa, Reid, Chase, Quinn, Aiden, Julian, Bryelle, and great-grandchildren, Jodi, Molly. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert Muntain; sisters, Dianne, Katie, Sylvia, Mary-Ann; and her brothers, Richard and Jim. Bernice was born on March 27, 1942, in Grayson, SK. She was the fifth of 10 children born to Lena and John Rieger. Bernice and Bob were married September 25, 1976 in Winnipeg, and blended their family into one. Bernice lived life to the fullest. Bernice will always be remembered for her warm smile, passion for life and kind and gentle spirit. She always had a positive outlook on life. During their 39 years together, many happy times were spent and memories made, camping, dancing and travelling with friends. Bernice was a wonderful woman who always put her family first. Her greatest pleasures were making her special meatballs for her grandchildren, family times, watching her grandchildren grow and preparing those fabulous family meals. Her door was always open, and it was never any trouble to lay an extra plate for dinner. Everyone was welcome in her home. Her legacy, of which she was extremely proud and brought her so much joy, is seen in the devotion of her grandchildren. Their love for her is endless. Spending time with Grandma was always special, whether playing Chase the Ace at Christmas, picnics at Birds Hill or getting ice cream for breakfast. While we mourn her passing, we smile knowing that she is watching over us all. We will miss her terribly but treasure the lasting memories of our times with her. Rest in Peace, we love you - you will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER PARISH, 505 Brewster St., Transcona, on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
