Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON ALLAN TOMS April 14, 1930 - March 7, 2016 Passed away at Langley Hospice. Gordon is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marilyn; son Douglas; daughter Angela (James) West; granddaughter Brianna West; sister Margaret (Jack); and brothers, Bob (Cherie) and Norman (Margaret) and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was brother-in-law to Richard and Dianne Crayston, Murray Crayston and Ed and Sue Crayston. Predeceased by his parents, Sydney and Christina; brother Clinton; and sisters-in-law, Thelma Toms and Holly Crayston. Gordon was born in Melville, SK. He spent his school years in England from 1937 to 1946. He returned to Winnipeg, MB with his family in 1947. He and Marilyn moved to Langley, BC in 2006. Gord worked for the CNR for 43 years retiring as a Safety Officer. Over the years he enjoyed the sports of table tennis, cycling, car racing, badminton, tennis and skiing. He studied classical music and played the violin. Trailering was a big part of his life with winters spent in Mexico and Arizona. The family wishes to thank the staff at Langley Hospital and Hospice for their care. He has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
