FLORENCE J. CHUDLEY (nee DUBREUIL) February 17, 1939 - March 11, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother Florence, at home, on Friday, March 11, 2016. She is survived by her children Cindy (Al), Karen (Mike) and Robert (Jenn), her grandchildren Matthew and Kaitlyn, and her sisters Lucille, Theresa, Louise and Annette. She was predeceased by her brother Joe, and parents. Mom was born in St. Boniface and after working for CBC for several years decided to stay home to raise her family. She was admired for her creativity by everyone who knew her. She was an exceptional cook, baker and seamstress and had a love for design. She was eager to experience all that life had to offer including taking trips to Europe and China in her later years. Since their arrival, her grandchildren were the joy of her life. This led her to move to Quebec for a couple of years to be closer to them. She treasured this experience. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and taught them to use their voice to make their mark in the world. She had a wonderful network of friends and was always there for support when needed. She was a woman of strong moral character who was not afraid to speak her mind. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and will always be close to our hearts. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Palliative Care program and in particular Andre, Lana and Angela for their incredible support medically and emotionally during this difficult time. Their support helped make it possible for us to bring her home. A celebration of life gathering will be held this summer for family and friends and will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made to the Cancer Society. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.
