DELPHIS EDWARD MICHEL It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Grandpa (Papa), Great-grandpa, Uncle, Great-uncle, Brother-in-Law and friend on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the age of 79 years. Dad will be missed by his children, Melvin, Cheryl, Valerie and Cory; grandchildren, Robert, Shawn, Vickie, Tiffany, Peterson and Michael; great-grandchildren, Seth, Caiden, Devon, Carson, Annabella and Madison; his friend for many years, Valerie Vosper, and his cat, Sweetheart! He was predeceased by his parents, Ludovic and Marguerite; his brother Leo; sister Melvina, and many other relatives. After a courageous battle with cancer in 2013, Dad recovered remarkably. He was a strong man and his strength is what got him through his battles. Dad was a milkman in his younger days, then worked at Canadian Pacific Railway for many years and in his later years, became a LPN. During retirement, Dad kept going by delivering the Winnipeg Sun. In compliance with Dad's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. Thank you to all the pleasant staff at the Grace Hospital who took care of Dad this past few weeks. Thank you to Dr. Anderson who saw life in my Dad's eyes and gave us an extra two and a half years with him. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
