SHEILA IRENE WHITE (nee BANDY) January 24, 1954 - March 12, 2016 It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend at Riverview Health Centre, after a long illness. She will be mourned by her loving husband of 41 years, Carter. Also her children Graham (Amanda), Jamie (Mel), Devon (Jess); grandchildren Madison, Samantha, Serena, Connor, Romeo; and mother Irene Bandy. She is also survived by mother-in-law Eleanor White; brothers/sisters-in-law Deb and Ken English, James and Ingrid White and their families; as well as a wide circle of family and friends. Sheila was predeceased by her father Maurice and father-in-law Frank. As an only child, Sheila was born, raised, and lived all her life in Winnipeg. She worked in various capacities and was employed by River East School Division when illness forced an early retirement. Her main focus was her family, who knew she would always be there for them, without reserve and ready to help. The family extends deepest gratitude to Dr. Christine Loepp for her devotion and care which went "above and beyond". Grateful thanks also go to Concordia Hospital staff and all the Palliative Care workers who made it possible for Sheila to remain at home for as long as she could. Thanks also to the staff at Riverview Health Centre - 3E for making Sheila's last days as comfortable as possible. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
