Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • It is the laugh that lingers. As sweeping as the prairie horizon where she was raised, Marilyn Boyle's laughter was as full and delightful as its source. When she returned to Winnipeg for semi-retirement (who in this business ever fully retires?) she brought back with her the memories and fulfillment of a long career. Her return brought recognition for her dedication to her craft. ACTRA Winnipeg presented her with the Victor Cowie Lifetime Achievement Award and Rainbow Stage ensured her place on its Wall of Fame. Those two presentations were treasured by her and now, with her gone, we have lost one of our treasures. I'd say rest in peace, Marilyn, but keep them laughing would be probably be more appropriate. - Posted by: Brian Richardson (Colleague and friend) on: Apr 09, 2016

  • Cullen and I are so sad to hear this news. She cast our 3 childrens's horoscopes! Loved to hear about her tracking down all the family tree! She worked very hard at that! We brought her a bottle of scotch on many occasions, but she also enjoyed drinking beer. Then we would get the Irish accent out! I raise my glass in salute to you darling Marilyn!
