DAGMAR ZALUD December 10, 1948 - March 18, 2016 Dagmar passed away peacefully at the age of 67. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Jan and Jakub; daughters-in-law, Carla and Tracy; grandchildren, Noah, Sydney, Amanda, Marta and Michaela; and sisters, Jaromira and Martina. Dagmar was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Ladislav, in 2012. Dagmar immigrated to Canada with her family in 1986 and settled in South Winnipeg. She worked as a draftsperson for several local companies, before starting her own drafting business. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, painting, crossword puzzles, pottery and travelling to her native home in the Czech Republic to visit with family and friends. At Dagmar's request, there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 26 at the Canadian Czech-Slovak Benevolent Association (154 McKenzie St., Winnipeg) at 3:00 p.m. with buffet. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be forwarded to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation (https://hscf.thankyou4caring.org/donate_HSCF) or a charity of choice.
