Kathleen was a great friend. I first met her when she worked at Thomas Rathwells in the 1970's. She was caring and supportive to me as I had just arrived from England. We had many laughs over the years together. We have kept in contact even though I returned to the UK in the late 1970's. We enjoyed meeting up in Benson and Winnipeg and Kathleen and Grant visited me in the UK. Rest in peace dear Kathleen. - Posted by: Jane Blake (Friend for 40 years) on: Apr 16, 2016

Myself, Marilyn and Eldon really enjoyed getting to know Kathleen over the last year or two in our bi-weekly sing-a-longs. Kathleen reminded me of beautiful royalty, with both outward and inward beauty. She always brought a smile, a good word, and she loved the music. I can still hear her say, "Lovely!" as she clapped after our songs. She loved Marilyn's whistling and would close her eyes and delight in listening to it. We will miss her at our sing-a-longs. It was an honor to know her and hear some of her life stories. God bless you friend. - Posted by: Lydia Penner (Sing-a-long leader at Lion's Manor which Kathleen loved taking part in) on: Mar 29, 2016

How well we remember Kathleen from our Shorepointe days, coffee and exercises in the club house, a lot of laughs. Ron remembered her as school secretary at Daniel Mac, when she said she was so slim then and Ron has the yearbook to prove it! She had told us that on their wedding night she still wanted to call Grant Mr. Murray. Rest in peace, Kathleen. - Posted by: Eva Haddad (Friend) on: Mar 27, 2016

Kathleen became an important part of my life when I was 11. She gave me the unconditional love I needed at a critical time when my parents had split. She taught me manners, how to set a table and basic interior decorating lol. We kept in touch until the end which means we were friends for 50 years. I will truly miss Kathleen and cherish the love that I received from her. I am most certainly a better person for having her in my life. - Posted by: Tony Taronno (Friend) on: Mar 26, 2016

Thank you for being such a big, bright and funny part of my life auntie Kathleen. From taking out your teeth to make me laugh as a child, laughing at my tattoos, telling me the Walmart check sounded like it was going to say "please go to hell" telling us to say "sex" instead of cheese before a picture, and most importantly loving me, telling me I was beautiful and making me feel special even when I didn't feel it, and bringing our families together, you made SUCH a huge impact on many lives and will be sorely missed! Love you! Xoxo Rest in paradise.I will never forget you! - Posted by: Alexis (adopted niece,/friend ) on: Mar 26, 2016
