Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER FREDERICK BODNARUS March 31, 1944 - March 25, 2016 It is with mourning hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Walter Frederick Bodnarus on Friday, March 25, 2016 at age 71. Walter was born on March 31, 1944 in Teulon, MB to Peter and Pauline Bodnarus (nee Shyk). He was raised in Komarno, MB where he also pursued a career in beef farming. He farmed from 1963 until 2007, when he was forced into retirement due to health problems. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Ann; his children, Frederick, Carla (Dale) Tschigerl and Lisa (Luke) Pollio; as well as his grandchildren, Alexandra, Naomi and Titus Tschigerl. He is also survived by his brother Melvin (Ruth); sisters, Mary, Rose, Gladys and Eugenia (Dave), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Adam. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital who provided him with wonderful care during his last days. Thanks to his special cousin Bob for remaining a true friend to the end. In respect of Walter's wishes, a funeral will not be held. Flowers are gratefully declined; memorial donations can be made in his memory to a charity of choice. I am saddened to hear of Walters passing. Whenever our paths crossed over the years Walter always had a genuine interest in our family members and was happy to share about his family. Gone too soon.
