MARY PETERS December 21, 1925 - Cuauntemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico March 28, 2016 - Calgary, Alberta Mary passed away on March 28, 2016 at the age of 90 years. She was born in Cuauntemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, where she lived and attended school. Mary was about 11 years old when her and her family returned to Canada, and after a few years, in 1938, they settled on a farm near Morden, Manitoba. There she was involved with the family farm. Mary married Henry Peters in 1948 and after a few moves they settled in Calgary in 1966, where she lived the rest of her life. Mary is survived by her five daughters, Linda, Leona, Dorothy (Ken), Valerie (Bill) and Karen; as well as her six grandchildren, Warren, Ryan (Brandee), Holly (Wouter), Brett (Jessica), Kyle (Mandi) and Terresa (Chris); and her six great-grandchildren, Nolan, RJ, Cadence, Lucus, Aiden, and Austin; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Isaac (Mary), Justina (John), Katherine, Anne (Murray), Peter (Agnes), Abe (Leona) and Susan. Mary was predeceased by her brother Cornelius. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church (4612 Varsity Drive N.W.), on Wednesday, April 06, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will be held at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church (4612 Varsity Drive N.W.), on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
