My deepest condolences to the Ryall family. I knew Larry for over 30 years. I have such fond memories, whether from curling or playing ball in the work leagues or playing on the Transcona Sketching Club on weekends, to travelling to Minneapolis for a ball game. There were great times togethers at the Oak after work on a Friday or visits to the track, where once I was stupid enough to let Larry drive me there as I had had too much to drink not realizing once I sobered up the drive home would be a tad scary. Then there were the times visiting at his home and getting into dicussions about wrestlers and his sons collection! I am so happy I got to stop and visit with him a few years back. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Larry. - Posted by: Karen Exner (Friend and former colleagues ) on: Apr 10, 2016

Although our paths have not crossed in many years. I recall so many fond memories for which this short space could not do justice. Larry will be remembered through the lives he touched. Our sincerest condolences to the extended Ryall family. - Posted by: Bill Mooney (High School Friend) on: Apr 07, 2016

I was fortunate to have known and worked with Larry for many years. I will always remember his laugh and sense of humour, and the many good times. I, like so many of us who knew Larry, was always in awe of his knowledge, and virtual total recall of anything from a section in the ITA, any sports trivia or statistic, to any piece of music or political history. it was always fun to spend time with the Kat. Although i am deeply saddened to lose our friend, I am comforted by the many memories that make us all smile. One thing that stands out the most to me was how much he loved his children; how he spoke of each of you always. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. - Posted by: Doug Jones (Friend and former colleague at CRA) on: Apr 07, 2016

Dear Brett and Scott, We will remember your Dad as a very kind and generous soul. He had a great sense of humour which resulted in much merriment at our family gatherings. Uncle Larry always took time to be with the kids, be it a board game, a day trip to the Oasis (with lots of tosses into the water) or a meal at their favourite burger place. Larry was always ready for a lively discussion on just about any topic, with much laughter erupting due to his wit and dry sense of humour. Our family will cherish these memories and Uncle Larry will always hold a special place in our hearts. Much love, Wendy, Jim, Jillian & Kendra - Posted by: Wendy, Jim, Jillian and Kendra Wingerter (Family) on: Apr 04, 2016

I was so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. We had many good times together going back to our days on Kingston Row.I had the fortune of reconnecting with Larry over the last couple of years, reminiscing about the "old" days and sharing some laughs He was one of a kind and will really be missed. - Posted by: Carl Coleman (Friend) on: Apr 04, 2016

I had the pleasure of meeting Larry at Glenlawn Colligiate in the early 70's. Then I lost contact with him, until about 10 years ago. I happened to be in the same pool tournament as Larry.. He had not changed one bit. He was still the guy who could make you laugh. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed. God could never make another Larry. He was one of a kind. Goodbye my friend. 0 - Posted by: Bobbi Mills (Friend) on: Apr 02, 2016

The picture certainly captures Larry's "spirit". Larry was well respected for his knowledge at the Winnipeg Taxation Centre. I met two auditors from Alberta at a Winnipeg conference after I had moved over to audit at 360 Main. Larry's name came up and they said that when they met him once and found out who he was they said "You're the Larry Ryall". They said he was embarrassed by their fawning over him. That sounds like Larry. Larry also never hogged credit for things that he did or created when he could have. He shared it. Larry was also very generous when it came to things such as charities. Sad that he passed away too soon and he won't be forgotten. - Posted by: Jim Fryza (friend and former colleague ) on: Apr 02, 2016

Le Kat has amused all of us in Minnesota whenever he'd travel South to visit his "American Woman". I feel fortunate to have spent time with him the past few years. I'll never forget the trip Jodi and I made to the 'peg transporting the CList propane refrigerator in the back of my Bravada. Going through customs with the 'fridge, we were so concerned about the contraband apples and oranges and not the item that took up most of my SUV. Thanks for the fun times, le Kat. As a bonerfide legend, you will be talked about for generations. - Posted by: Mary (Longtime buddy of Mrs. Larry (aka Jodi)) on: Apr 02, 2016

The smartest person I've ever known. Whether it was quoting chapter and verse from the Income Tax Act or rattling off baseball statistics, his vast array of knowledge was unsurpassed. I had the pleasure of knowing Larry for over 30 years and his enthusiasm for life never wavered. He was one of those special, one-of-a-kind people that rarely comes along and I'm proud to say he was my friend. He will be missed. - Posted by: Randy Klassen (friend) on: Apr 02, 2016
