GORDON GRANT EHNES With the greatest sorrow we are announcing the sudden passing of our much loved husband, father, and grandfather on March 23, 2016 at the Russell Health Centre. He was born on the family farm in Windygates, MB. Growing up in a large family Dad was one of seven brothers and four younger sisters and he soon learned to hold his own. In 1967 he became the MTS district representative for Birtle and surrounding area, retiring after 34 years of MTS service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and curling. He was a Lion's member for many years and served on the town council. Left to mourn are his wife Mary, of 52 years, his daughter Erin (Len) and their sons Brodie and Riley; his son Glenn (Sharon) and their sons Logan and Landon; and his daughter Colleen (Doug) and their children Tyler, Brett and Hailey. He is survived by siblings Orville (Mabel), Vernon (Beatrice), Duane (Gwen), Shirley Wiklund, Phyllis (Kelly) Klein, Lois (Roy) Burkett, Valerie (Ron) Land, Dale (Sharon), and sisters-in-law Ila and Joyce Ehnes and Liz Chesko, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Martha, his brothers Lyle and Les, brothers-in-law Al Wiklund, Dr. Ed Chesko, and sister-in-law Hilde Ehnes. A private family graveside service was held on March 29, 2016. Arrangements were made by Braendle Bruce Funeral Service of Russell, MB
