JOHN (JACK) CARMICHAEL STUART The greatest trial of the human heart is to love someone and have to say goodbye. With heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of John Carmichael Stuart. Jack leaves behind Karen, his eternal soul mate, loyal and loving partner for over 30 years. He is survived by his two devoted sons, Whitney John (Patty) and Russell Anthony; his wonderful stepdaughter Jennifer Elizabeth; daughters, Lesley Johnson (Jim), Corrine Macgregor (Roy), Andrea Stuart Perillo (Louigi); exceptional grandchildren, David and Ian Johnson, Cameron and Dawn MacGregor, Lorenzo and Jordan Perillo, Mackenzie Leana Stuart; and his brother Jim Stuart. Jack was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on January 16, 1936, the eldest son of Jack and Ina Stuart, a third generation descendant of the Manitoba Selkirk Settlers. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, his friendly nature and his serious council, advice and mentorship that he so loved to impart. He was a very dedicated man, with a drive, ambition and singular focus that was admirable. Jack will be missed so very, very much. A gathering of friends for Jack Stuart will be held at the Two Lions Public House, 2601 Westview Dr., North Vancouver, BC on April 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
