MARY DIANA BAZIUK (nee BROWN) (YOUNG) July 14, 1959 - April 2, 2016 With loving memories and heavy hearts our family announces the sudden passing of Mary Diana Baziuk, at the young age of 56, on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Mary was a devoted mother to Jennifer (Travis) Culleton-Young and Michael (Breanne) Young and a loving grandmother to Khloe and Lilianna. She was cherished by her big and little brothers Kim and Kevin (Cheryl) Brown. She leaves behind her best friend, soul mate and husband of 10 years, Michael Baziuk. Mary was instantly adopted into her partner's life and loved her newest family members as her own children: Christine (Garth) Lord, Angela Baziuk, her granddaughters Ainsley, Caley, and Nicole, and adored great-grandsons Keeland and Reilly. She also leaves behind John Young, the father of her children and first love, along with numerous extended family members within the Young family. She was predeceased by her parents Beverly and Bill Brown. Mary was a loyal and generous spirit who wore her heart on her sleeve. She was the family rock who loved everyone unconditionally. Mary had a gift for making people feel special, from hosting birthday parties in the old McDonald's Caboose on Pembina to helping clients with disabilities. Mary loved her career as a health care aide and proudly graduated from upgrading her education at Robertson College last year. Mary treasured animals, particularly her dog Dawn Don. Mary served on the Ladies Auxiliary at the local Eagles Club. She could often be spotted there enjoying a game of bingo with her colossal dauber collection. She was an excellent bartender at socials and loved helping in the kitchen for the Fall Suppers. She loved exploring the Caribbean with her husband and had plans to return to her childhood home in Nova Scotia. Mary never forgot a birthday or to send helium balloons for special occasions. A special thank you goes out to her dearest friends who were always there for our mom, Rose and Ron Blackburn and Cheri Villard; and to a special client, Gilbert.
