MAGAN ASHLEY RODGERS October 14, 1996 - April 6, 2016 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Magan Ashley Rodgers on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Megan was predeceased by grandparents Dennis Rodgers, Caroline Duck and Roy Chief, and her uncle Sandy Chief. She leaves to mourn her mother Bonnie Rodgers - Monkman; stepfather Steven Monkman; father Gerald Chief; siblings David, Mark, Gerry, Katrina and Kayden; step-siblings Lisa (Wab), Jade, Tara, Jordan, Alex and Nikki; nephews, Syelis, Trayden, Cameron, Ashton, Aiden, Brody, and Brayden; uncles David, Patrick, Jeff, Jason, Lance and Mike; aunties Patty and Cindy in addition to many many close friends. Magan's wake began in the home of her mother and will continue on at the Circle of Life Thunderbird House from 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 8 until 7:00 a.m. on Monday April 11, 2016. The family will keep the fire burning and host daily pipe ceremonies, feasts and drumming in her honour. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 10:30 a.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel on 724 Selkirk Avenue. The after service reception will be held at 1269 Alexander Avenue. All are welcome to attend both events. We wish to thank all who extended their love and support to help us through this difficult time. We are especially grateful to The Bear Clan Patrol and the many drummers, singers and pipe carriers who have given so generously of their time and their hearts. Rest in peace Magan. You are missed dearly by us all. Weweni bimosen.
