Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND EDWARD VADEBONCOEUR November 8, 1924 - March 25, 2016 It's with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Vadeboncoeur on Good Friday March 25, 2016 at Deer Lodge Center. Ray is survived by his children; Rodney, Roy, Richard, Girard (Nancy), Daniel and Carey (John), five grandchildren, Nicole, Mark, Jaclyn, Sarah and Kate and his best pal his dog "BLAZE". He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (2005), and his three brothers and sister. Dad was a Second World War veteran and we are blessed every day for our freedom for the sacrifice he and other veterans have made and continue to make. The family would like to thank Fely who was by his side for the last year and a half; they would also like to thank the staff at Tower 7 at Deer Lodge center for all the great care, patience and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Raymond's name to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba or Deer Lodge Center Foundation. As we quote our dad ... Yes Yes Yes, of course... he would say as he shared his pearls of wisdom A memorial service will take place at Bardal Funeral Home on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Saddened to hear today that Mr. V has passed on. But he had a great run, and did a lot with his life. He had a significant impact on mine. Some profound, some humorous: I remember him telling me to ‘go out and kick the garbage cans’ (instead of somebody) when I was angry- and that when I did, he was pissed about the damage. But a great life message to young me. He gave up some of his re-loading and storage sheds so Ray Jr. and I could have our little photo lab. He had that cool Ford wagon with a 390, and he let us drive around in it at 16. I remember the Cessna. He was a fine pilot. He was the cool dad in the neighbourhood, and I could go on, but those who knew him probably take my point – he was a kind of surrogate Dad to many of us, and certainly a Mentor. RIP Mr. Vadeboncoeur - Posted by: Paul Johnston (Friend) on: Apr 11, 2016
