Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARLENE MOLLOT CRABBE Arlene Crabbe (nee Mollot), 68, died on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB, surrounded by her family. Born on September 11, 1947, to parents Louis and Eleanor Mollot, Arlene spent her childhood in Brandon, Manitoba where she became a Girl Guide. The values she learned there became a part of her and were evident throughout her life and especially in her commitment to community when she moved to MacGregor in 1970, met and married Darwin and raised their family. Arlene was known for volunteering; she started clubs for highland dancing, kinder gym and nursery school and was an active member of Skate Manitoba for years. She recognized and used her talents to benefit others, whether that was through her love of teaching at the Pine Creek School Division, or as a quilter and seamstress. She took joy in making gifts for everyone, which many babies will grow up to treasure, and her warm footed family, friends and community members are sure to tell you. Arlene had a contagious laugh and loved games, especially winning! She enjoyed traveling and spending time on South Padre Island with friends. Arlene was very family oriented, never missing a family gathering, and always interested in the lives of her many, many nieces and nephews. She was determined, never one to sit still, an excellent backseat driver and a beautiful gardener. Arlene battled her declining health with courage, strength and humour, always remaining positive, and refusing to allow her health struggles to inconvenience her loved ones. Arlene was predeceased by her infant daughter, Angela. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Darwin; daughter Melanie (Brent), son Kevin, much loved granddaughters, Emily and Audrey, sisters Vivian (John), Judith and Marcelle, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral will be held Saturday, April 16 at MacGregor United Church, MacGregor, MB at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Dr. Jim Price for his excellent care over the past 34 years as well as the St. Boniface medical team. Arlene insists on no flowers! Donations can be made to the North Norfolk MacGregor Foundation or the Children's Wish Foundation.

I will always remember Miss Mollot's kind comments on my grade 4 report card - a boost of confidence for an awkward, shy pre-teen. I am positive she inspired many others with her smiling, sunny ways. She will be missed. My sympathies to Darwin and their family. Wishing you peace and happy memories of this wonderful woman. - Posted by: Heather Leckie () on: Apr 16, 2016

Deepest sympathy. I will always have fond memories from when Arlene and I were Figure Skating Accountants together. Early hours, snow storms, whatever, nothing caused Arlene to worry. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Millie & Chuck Mason (Friend) on: Apr 12, 2016
