BETTY LITTLEJOHN Betty Mae Littlejohn (nee Gibson), 87, July 14, 1928 to April 11, 2016. She is survived by her husband Robert, sons Greg and Wayne, sister Doreen Goodman of Minneapolis, and predeceased by her eldest son Drewe (Heather). Betty loved to dance and socialize and was on the Moonlight Special to Grand Beach, when she met the love of her life, 70 years ago. They have been devoted to each other ever since. She was a wonderful mom to her three sons. Betty and her sister Doreen were the best of friends, raised by their widowed mother during The Depression and war years. Betty was a terrific homemaker and entertainer. She adored her close and extended family and enjoyed many life-long friendships. She spent weekends at Patricia Beach canoeing in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter, and was an active volunteer and league bowler. She enjoyed travelling and often visited Las Vegas as her granddaughter, Renoka, was growing up. A private service will be held for Betty at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I have known Mrs. Littlejohn for over 40 years being a friend of Wayne. She could alwys be counted on for a bright smile and a very funny counter to Mr. Littlejohn's jokes! Oh and her awesome cookies! I spent considerable time at the Littlejohns' and Mrs. Littlejohn always made me feel as welcome as in my own home. It continued with my own children as well. And she did love her dogs! I shall miss her very much. My heartfelt condolences to Mr. Littlejohn, Greg, Wayne and Heather. - Posted by: Bruce Verry (Family Friend) on: Apr 21, 2016

  • My deepest condolences to Greg and his family on the loss of Betty. I would like to share a quote with her loved ones. "Betty, has not died, but merely, gone away, to a better place, free of pain and suffering. We will see her again some day." Rest in Peace Betty - Posted by: Patricia Homenick (School friend of son Greg) on: Apr 16, 2016
